Apply for EUtopia Training Course in Serbia

Training Course EUtopia? -Diversity in Changing Europe is being held in Serbia from 26th of June to 1st of July 2016 . The extended application for participants from the Western Balkan region is open until 13th of May 2016.

The activity addresses various implications of the European migrant crisis on youth from the perspective of understanding diversity in rapidly changing Europe.

The training course aims at providing youth work practitioners with competences and tools to understand and better respond to the current realities of young people in changing Europe. The implications of the European migrant crisis is approached from the perspective of how it mirrors the contemporary problematic of dealing with diversity in Europe. The participants will have a chance to gain information and critically reflect on the topic from different angles together with colleagues from other countries, as well as to acquire transferable skills to facilitate young people’s proactive adaptation and empowerment. The activity will take place in Serbia, in the Western Balkan region, which has been the main transit area and a disputed border zone for today’s migration towards the European Union. The region itself has witnessed a large scale emigration and internal displacement of people as a consequence to the conflicts in the 90s, of which impact is still tangible today. The training is based on an existing concept developed and implemented twice by the Latvian National Agency for the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme.

TYM publishes a variety of media contents – texts, caricatures, photos, video-clips – created by young people, youth workers, experts, and all others that wish and have something to say about youth policy.

Geographically, TYM is primarily targeting European and Latin American countries, but it also publishes important news and initiatives in the field of youth policy worldwide.

The e-Magazine gives special attention to youth media activism, wishing to present the examples of best practices of using different media for youth activism.

Besides authored articles, TYM also gathers together relevant articles from other web-sites. TYM e-Magazine is thus a virtual space where visitors are able to get information about the international situation and problems of youth policy, and the place where young authors are able to write articles and other content intended for improving the youth policy internationally. In this respect, it has vital importance for the intraregional and transregional association, understanding, coming together, promoting dialogue and cooperation.
This portal has been created as part of the international MEDIActive Youth project implemented within the Erasmus + Programme. The aims of the project are:
Increasing the capacity of youth organisations/workers in the field of media literacy and media activism as well as fostering their active participation in society
Strengthening media promotion of youth policy and democratic values on European and global level.
